I'm not sure if Amanda is getting Ellie confused with the cat but Ellie was enjoying it all the same.

Hair wraps
My sister Amanda and I have always admired those colorful hair wraps that you can get at the beach. We decided we would learn how to do them this summer and have been giving each other hair wraps while watching Phantom of the Opera. So far I have already given her three hair wraps including a "hipster," "rasta," and "girly" one.
To make a hair wrap (and it is very easy) you braid a small portion of hair, tie embroidery floss in a knot at the top of the braid (close to your scalp) and start wrapping it around the braid. So easy! You can find better instructions here though.
Now that we have our hair wraps our self confidence has skyrocketed. Watch out, we might just do our whole head and end up with dreadlocks. That would be cool huh?

introverts and extroverts
There are a lot of unvalidated infographics and quotes on pinterest, and everything seems legit because the graphic designers are really talented. Even though I am skeptical about its scientific credibility I thought this was an interesting comparison (I got it from pinterest.) When I read this I thought of the differences between my husband and I and thought "hey he must be an introvert" (just kidding). It's quite the opposite actually, he is always billowing out opinions on this or that, and is one of the most open and extroverted people I have ever met. Myself on the otherhand, would concider an introvert, only divulging facts (not feelings) when I talk to people I'm not really close to, and am also perfectly happy spending my time alone doing solitary activities. So what are you? Introvert or extrovert?

Blast from the past
This is one of my favorite pictures of myself. This was back in 2000 and we went to Utah to visit the my grandma's old homestead in Roosevelt. I was only twelve years old and it was our first time in a place with no trees and a lot of red plateaus. Every cliff we saw we begged my mom to pull over so we could climb them. She gave in a few times and this was the best one we did. It was huge, and on the way up a baby rattlesnake bit Heather's shoe. So can you find me in the picture? It's kinda hard, because I'm just a little speck.

6 years
Aug 12 is our anniversary, and we haven't been out on a date since we went to go see the Hunger Games in the movie theatre. We're kinda pathetic. So we went shopping, and got Ritas afterwards. Shopping was good, I haven't done that in a really long time. Both of us got some clothes and I fell prey for these orangy-red skinny jeans but now I think I'm going to return them. They are cute but I'm not that comfortable with my post-baby body yet.
When we got home Ellie was being so reverent for her favorite babysitter, Aunt Amanda (aka AnniMannitheTranny) She was folding her arms and just sitting quietly waiting for her parents to return. HAHA!
Happy Anniversary!

Ropes Course in Montana
On the way back into the States (via Glacier National Park) we stopped at a ski resort and did an areial ropes course. Mom, Ellie, and Keith went for a hike. I took this for Mckay so he could see what we were doing since I couldn't talk to him (I don't have international calling). It was pretty fun. This video is also proof that my sister keeps saying "hashtagYOLO" maybe I will use it to embarrass her later when she is older! hehe! And the "oh crap" at the end of the video was because my zipline stopped in the middle, so I had to hand-over-hand it to the platform.
The drive through Glacier was really beautiful, unfortunately Ellie screamed the whole time because she didn't have a nap (and apparently she can't nap anywhere without her own bed, by herself, in the dark.) The only way we could get this busybody to go to sleep in the car was to put a blanket over her car seat so she couldn't look at anything.

Canadian Recreation
The day after the wedding we decided to have a little local recreation. This is what you would call a Loader ride. The whole time in my head I was singing the song Sister Christian by Night Ranger but substituting the lyric "moterin" for "loaderin". Just as a forewarning, loaderin can make you really carsick.

Reception
Heather and bradons reception was located in Bradons' parents backyard. They have such a beautiful view and it was a beautiful day to match. They served yummy french dip sandwiches, frozen jello, and a salad (one of those sweet ones with cranberries and nuts). They had pie for dessert and cute little lemonades in mason jars. The lemonades had old fashioned straws in them with lemon slices and maraschino cherries, it was really cute.
My mom made the wedding cake and I think she did a good job. She was worried that the lemons would look bad but they didn't and I think they look good.
Heather had a photo booth for the guests with lots of costumes and props to play with. Ellie looks very dignified in her costume.
After the reception day we had a toast and mom became grandma's proxy by giving the "Here's to the bottom" speech.

I love this song
So being at home most of the time has limited my exposure to new music but on my way to work this weekend I heard this song on the radio for the first song and I love it and the video. You all probably heard it a million times, but it's new to me. Normally I like to have everything on this blog be child friendly, but they put in one curse word in the middle of the song. Whyyyy?! So if you don't want to hear it look it up an edited version on youtube. But yeah, it's a cool song.
his is a cool song too, but it's probably really old too.
Now this song is nice too, but the music video is horrible because he's singing about how he's gotta go home but he never makes it there.

more bridals dress b&w
I actually like these black and white ones I took, and that's saying something I guess because usually I hate everything I do. I still have more pictures still to come!
Bridals (color)
I went out with Bradon and Heather to take some bridal pictures. These are some of the color ones (I'm going to put the black and white ones up later) but I liked all of these and I could have put 100 on here. The scenery is amazing.
