Rock and rolling to sleep

McKay and I discovered Rockabye Baby music from my hometown hard rocker friend Katie.  McKay and I have listened to it while we try to put Ellie to sleep.  We have found it very difficult to wail like Aerosmith and air drum like Travis Barker while softly singing a baby to sleep at the same time. We just get too much into it and wake her up. At least it prevents us from falling asleep.  haha

Don't think I am the most evil mom ever but I like their version of Metalica's Enter Sandman.  I'm not sure why but I think it is hilarious that someone legitimately turned that song into a lullaby!

Journey is good too.

The smile!

Her smile is so addictive.  She did it once and now everyday I try to get her to smile whenever possible.  The coo came much later and now I'm trying to get her to do that too.  AHHH! I love her so much!

Heres a video of me trying to make her smile. I would like to apologize beforehand for my high pitched, annoying babytalk and  the video is kinda long so you could just fast forward to the last 20 seconds if you want.  And yes I am neighing like a horse in the beginning. This is kinda humiliating but it's worth it to see her smile.

Spring M&M Eye Spy

Before I start this I think I should get several free bags of M&M's from the company for this free advertising (make it the peanut butter kind).  My brother Aaron and I were bored and eating some M&Ms and we wondered if these "spring colors" were truly the correct hue and put them to the test.

 We wandered the yard M&Ms in hand looking for the right colors and had great success.  As you can see the spring pink M&M perfectly matches these Bleeding Hearts.

This last one was tricky because where do you find Robin Egg Blue out in nature other than in a Robin's nest?   So we had to get creative. (No real robins nest were touched or harmed during the making of this game)

My Easter Peeps

Didn't you just love playing with these little guys when you were little?  I know I sure did, I loved finding them in my easter eggs so fuzzy and cute!

Self Portrait- Feb 6th

Here is a self portrait of me on Feb 6th four days before Ellie was born.  As you can tell the door handle greatly exaggerated the size of my belly, bringing out a visual representation of the way I felt on the inside (which was XXXXXL). I'm glad that is over ha ha!

Easter break

Braiden and Sharon came out to PA and we came up to visit them. It was fun to hang out with them again.  And look, my baby is going bald! Oh no!
