Our little group of three

While we were hopping in and out of the water my sister helped me get our first family pic.  Sisters are good at that kind of stuff. She just kept snapping away until we were like "ok there has to be a good one in there somewhere"... haha

Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle beach is pretty fun, it looks just like the beaches in Delaware but the water is much much warmer.  You don't have that shocking oh crap it's cold sensation of  which is nice.  The waves are much gentler too, but as for McKay and I we prefer to live dangerously and get pummeled through rough waves.  There was a pool at our place which Ellie may or may not have pooped in, but i'm pretty sure that yellow foamy stuff in the corner of the pool was not there before we got in. oops.  It was fun to hang out on the oceanfront balcony while Ellie was taking naps.  I got a pseudo tan and some more freckles on my face, it was just fun the whole time.

Ellie is such a girly girl. She hates it outside.  When I take her out on walks she screams, but if we go shopping she's happy looking around at everything.  Since we were going to the beach my mom got her these cool baby shades which I find hysterical as well as functional.  As you can see, she doesn't really look too happy to be outside.

She is much happier inside.

Driving through North Carolina

While driving through North Carolina we stopped for gas in a cute little... town? It had many deteriorating homes like this one and only a few were kept up.  They were very picturesque complete with laundry blowing in the wind on clotheslines. But since I was in the van with my family I could only take snapshots out of the window.  But I still think they are interesting.  This is the house that I want to live in.

It's nice huh?  The gas station also has these old pumps, and I find the little black gas/price tickers charming.

July 4th

On Independence Day we went to Frederick to see the fireworks.  We dealt with no traffic so it was very simple. Ellie was hypnotized by the high contrast of the fireworks and wouldn't break eye contact. haha.  The other pic is of Amanda.  

Longboards

My brother Aaron is now making homemade longboards.  We designed this "poop deck" together and we are proud of it! He rides it all the time and it's just as good as a store bought board.  He made this mold for the boards so they have a certain concave/convex character to it so it bounces good or something. If you ever want a board to paint yourself he can make blank decks so you can do whatever you want.

Home Videos

I know you guys haven't heard much from me the past couple of days but it's because I'm working on that box.  That dang box.  I like how it's coming out so far.  The outside is almost turning cliche but i'm just going to keep going and you'll see what I mean later when I put pics up.  It will probably take me one or two more days.  I have also been building longboards with my brother which is kinda cool.  

Right now the only thing I have to share are these home videos that I find amusing.  (sorry more baby stuff, I know)
So in this first video Ellie really wants the toy (probably in her mouth) hence the whining.  It is now on stretchy string.  And the video where Ellie is wearing a green tie dye outfit we took during a huge hailstorm hence the "oh crap" at the end.  Sorry but i was too lazy to edit the video. The hail was 2" peices. Luckily none of our windshields broke and the power was out for 12 hours, unlike my friend katie whose power is still out.
