Getting back into the swing of Idaho-y things

Check out this little motorcycle! it is teeny weenie!!!  I saw this on the way to school today.  This is what Aaron and Adam should get.

Ok so these pictures aren't in order but oh well.  When I got back from MD went to the flower center and i saw these huge orchids in the cooler and I was just shocked by their coolness!!

This green arrangement is one I made a few minutes later in flower center... 

Mckay told me he likes this one because it has Bells of Ireland in them (which I think are ugly but whatever.)  The only other flower he thinks are cool besides those are billy buttons... haha 

This one I made at my moms house with the extra flowers left over from the wedding...

This is my lovely printing area.  It has a very nice view. I enjoy watching cars getting towed and ticketed.  haha.  I am mixing grey ink for my most recent project.

I've lost my marbles!

I thought marbling paper was so much fun that when carrageen was being given away I said I would take it.  I took it home to began my marbling adventure.  HAHA!

The first thing I did was I took over the bathroom.

Random Side Note:  While I was doing this McKay was playing the guitar and I was like "do you want to try this?  It is really fun."  He was like "No, not really."  So then I begged him if he would try it and he finally gave in.  Once he finished making a paper he was like "Awesome! I got to make more!"  Ha!  We had a lot of fun.

The first thing you do when  you marble paper is you take those straw brushes and splatter paint into the pan with the carrageen in it.

 After you splattered all of the different colors you want into the pan you can make designs into the paint using toothpicks or a rake thing.

 Then you grab your paper and put it evenly into the liquid.  Air bubbles are bad!

(Haha!  We were tired, this was at midnight!)

Once you pull your paper out, all of the paint will come out with the paper. 

Then let your paper dry.  I don't recommend hanging them up like this to dry because they get streaky.  If you can lay them flat to dry, do that instead!

(I took over the kitchen too!)

Then you get cool paper!!!

Midterms are OVER!

Midterms are over so McKay and I are trying to catch up on the things that we put aside for the tests.  The stress is over.

So I signed up for my classes for fall semester and I am going to be taking Secondary Art Methods I &II, Read in Content (whatever that is,) Civil War History, and Sculpture. This should be my hardest and busiest semester yet.

McKay signed up for some chemistry, physics, and biology classes too, but he hasn't decided whether or not he wants to do that.  He has been going to school every semester for the past two years without a break.  He wants one and I don't blame him.  He works so hard and it is very stressful.  When we find out where I am going for student teaching that will probably help with the decision of when to take the break.

I made this arrangement in flower center.  A lot 

of the flowers in the cooler were dying so they said we could make anything we wanted out of the dying ones.  FUN!

I also learned how to marble paper and make homemade paper yesterday.  It is sooo cool.  I would love to make a book with marbled paper!

This picture is for Stephanie Clawson.  If you look carefully you can see a plastic bag flying around.  I looked outside the Ricks building and it was like 50 million feet in the air just blowing around.  I thought of Stephanie's shpeil about the plastic bags and had to take the picture.  I couldn't get my camera out in time so this picture was when it was kind of low to the ground.  HA HA! 

Drumroll Please.....

Due to a death in someones family, the committe members who are deciding the placement for my student teaching have postponed the decision until next week. I am hoping to be local so I can stay with McKay and not pay rent for two apartments. If not I will probably go to Las Vegas for a semester.

Cord bound and other stuff

We put hot pink papers on peoples cars for a free lunch at Uptown Bagel!!!

Random Side Note: I was browsing on the internet for cool book paper and the top 5 places to get them from are India, Thailand, Nepal, Japan, and China.  Cool.....

This is what happened when mckay and I were trying to punch holes in the book board.  I have never seen anything like this before.  Do you think Walmart would let us return this defective hammer??
