"if they mated"

Mckay and I were watching Conan and decided that we needed to put my photoshop skills to a good use.  So here you have it, our children.

Guess the gender.

1. Pat
2.  Sam

Good News!

Today is such a good day! McKay took the OAT yesterday and got a really great score! I am so proud of him!

Also, there's good news with my books.  So far my mom has sold nine books just to neighbors and friends.  One of our ex-neighbors bought four!  She was the perfect person to sell them to because she is artsy-fartsy and loves to draw and paint with watercolors.  I thought about how she was the perfect customer and wondered how I could get more artsy-fartsy people to find out about and buy my books.  Then it came to me...  The Delaplaine!

The Delaplaine is a art gallery in Frederick, where art classes are also offered.   There is a little gift shop inside where artists sell their pottery, photographs,  paintings, prints, jewelry, ect.  I contacted the manager and after a couple days my mom had an appointment.  At the appointment the gallery loved my books and took ten of them.  They will be up for sale next week! AHHH! EXCITING!

I also found out where I am student teaching!!! I was tempted not to post it but I was told that would be mean.  Anyway, I am going to Madison Jr High to teach art history or art and history (I am not sure, the people who filled out the form made it confusing) to eighth and ninth graders.  HAHA! AHHHHHH!

Tour!

Ok, so I have been putting this off for a long time.  I have had several requests from far away family members to post pictures of the apt and I never got around to it.  Well, here it is..
The kitchen and my evil sister. haha.

here is the hallway.  that door leads outside and if you turn right you go in the kitchen.

McKay's dad helped me build lots of things for the apt like the frame for this message board, the 6 paneled mirror (in the living room), and helped me resize a vinyl letter for my "family" decoration thing (in the living room.) Thank you!

more apt.
oh and just so you know my ceramic thing came out of the kiln and now I am painting it... it'll probably take until the end of next week.

table...
living room
another view of living room (and I totally used my pathetic photoshop skills for this picture!)

Backyard... it isn't green anymore and everything is dead (shows  you how long I've had these pictures)

Bathroom
messy "other" room
Bedroom with a quilt I made!
This is made out of real 60's and 70's clothes my grandma had.  Most of it was already sewn together in three big pieces, I just made it into a quilt. Grandma was about to throw the fabric away but I saved it and now have a treasure!  Apparently this quilt brings back fashion nightmares to those who lived in the 60's and 70's. I think it's awesome!

el gato malo....

I'm pretty sure everyone in Madison Park knows about this little guy.  Apparently he likes our car, among other things.  Sorry about the blurry picture.  This was our first experience with our little "friend."  After this picture was taken some of my friends came over.  After a while they had to go home and as we were saying goodbye the cat saw the perfect opportunity to break into my apt.

He ran right through my legs into the nice warm apt.
I don't think he belongs to anyone but he is really nice.

Immediately I called animal control... I mean... my sister.  I really like cats, but I am allergic so I don't touch them.  This little guy was really friendly and is very happy all of the time.  He licks everyone who is nice to him and is totally a family cat. CUTE!

A day later Heather was coming over to visit and she saw the manager's boys calling this little kitty to them.  This cat is so obedient and came right to the boys.  Then the boy's told their dogs to attack the kitty.  Jerks!  The dogs bit the cats ear and hurt it. Sad.

By the way Heather is not being bit, just licks...

So AWESOME!

So I have a couple things to say...

First off,   YOU should check out my sister's new website, it has all of the comics Stephen and her have made.  Their comic is called How's Married Life?  The comics are so funny and soooo true!  Heather is the brains and tells Stephen what to draw and then he draws it.  Go there (under "funny stuff" on my sidebar) and let them know which one is your favorite!

DO IT NOW!

Second off, all those people who tell me to enjoy college should write my zillion page paper for me.  Thank you.

Happy birthday to me

Yesterday I had an amazing birthday and I will tell you why.

1.   I got a new nephew, Ethan
2.  I am not the same age as Heather (haha)
3.  Many people wished me a happy birthday (thank you)
4.  I got some leather!! LOVE IT! (check out the colors!)
.  I also got an ipod shuffle (McKay actually wrapped it in a different box so I was totally surprised)

Even McKay got something.

Homework waits for no man, even on his birthday.
So on my birthday I spent 12 hours finishing this sculpture thing.  I know, I know, its not that cathedral thing that I talked about doing before.  That idea eventually transformed into what you see before you (a lemonade stand in a junk yard if ya couldn't tell.)  I'll post a better picture later, after it has been fired and painted.

NOVEMBER 5th IS THE BEST!

This is kinda random

I have been on a cooking spree lately.  I have made homemade pitas, pretzels, gyros, calzones, fruit pizza, and many other lovelies.  I think this is becoming a hobby or something.  Anyway, McKay decided he wanted to make something too and that something was truffles.  I will let you guess who made which truffles in the picture below.

Another thing that was cool this week was all the leaves fell and made tattoo's in the sidewalk.
Interesting.

Unfortunately McKay had to work during Halloween and that stinks because I had an awesome costume idea.  My idea was McKay could be Wesley (complete with a blonde ponytail) and I could be a R.O.U.S. from princess bride.  Cool I know.  hehe. Instead, my friend Christy and I went to a church halloween party and it was cute seeing all of the little babies in their costumes! Adorable!

I love Halloween.
