I made McKay a birthday cake since I will be gone (bringing home the bacon) on his real birthday. Yeah it sucks, but you have to do what you have to do, right? This was my first time using the family secret recipe for making the perfect cake. Behold...
Apparently McKay's favorite cake is Black Forest Cake, a recipe from his mom and the Four Ingredient Cookbook. It has cherry filling, pudding/cool whip frosting, and lots of chocolate cake.

Oh my. That looks delish! So you're starting a job? Where do you work? Trent was actually in Albany, NY on business and then drove over to Boston just for the evening to check it out. That would have been neat if he was there longer to meet up!
